AI-Driven Threat: Unleashes Calculated Tractics to Supress Votes

By Sheila Ferguson
Voters should be vigilant, as Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools are being deployed to target them. Fear tactics orchestrated and aimed to discourage participation in both the Primary Election and the November 2024 General Election. It is crucial to recognize that failure to vote in the primary renders one ineligible for voting in the general election.

In a recent development reported by Public Broadcasting System (PBS), Participating in the January New Hampshire primary received dubious calls from an unknown telephone number. The robocall, impersonating Democratic Presidential Nominee Joe Biden, conveyed a misleading message.
It indicated that votes were unnecessary until the presidential election.

Utilizing Biden’s recognizable catchphrase, “What a bunch of malarkey,” the AI sought to create a sense of authenticity, leading voters to perceive the message as genuine.

As the November 2024 election approaches, there are concerns that planned AIgenerated messages will assert the dangers of going to the polls.

To counteract these efforts of voter suppression, recipients of such calls are urged to dismiss them, proceed to the polls, and cast their votes. Any such incidents should be promptly reported to the appropriate authorities. This modern-day voter suppression tactic, designed to create confusion and disorientation, represents a calculated strategy aimed at reducing voter participation.

UPDATE:
Steve Kramer, a veteran political consultant working for a rival candidate, acknowledged Sunday that he created the fake Joe Biden robocall that impersonated President Joe Biden using artificial intelligence, confirming an NBC News report that he was behind the call.

Kramer claimed he planned the fake robocall from the start as an act of civil disobedience to call attention to the dangers of AI in politics. He compared himself to American Revolutionary heroes Paul Revere and Thomas Paine. He said more enforcement is necessary to stop people like him from doing what he did.
